Meet the Host.
Mrs. Cynthia McCoy-Miller is a Los Angeles County-based senior executive manager who manages 1300+ employees and is responsible for overseeing a variety of complex operations including, but not limited to: budgets and accounting, technology, personnel, contracts, and community-based support services. Mrs. McCoy-Miller has 40 years of experience in social services and child welfare. Her career began in August of 1980 as an Intermediate Typist Clerk, and for the next four decades, she would work her way up through the ranks to serve as third in command for the largest child welfare agency in the nation. Mrs. McCoy-Miller has a knack for leadership and is grounded in performance-based management so that she and others can impact the bottom line with proven outcomes.
Her humble beginnings began in South Central LA and she has forged ahead in her career as a staunch advocate and trailblazer for children, families, and communities as she continues to live out her passion and 20/20 vision for promoting equity, empowerment, and servant leadership.
Mrs. McCoy-Miller received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Cal-State Poly Pomona, and an Associate of Arts in Social Work from the Los Angeles Southwest College.
Mrs. McCoy-Miller is a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sistah friend, colleague, and leader with a servant’s heart. As the founder and host of Cynthia@theTable, Ms. McCoy-Miller aims to use this platform to inspire and empower listeners to be their best through heartfelt, down-to-earth, nitty-gritty conversations that shed light on life, family, and community.
